are then out from under your mortgage.

may deny the purchase price offered to them and continue to hold out for a higher
price. This may result in a failure to get an offer at the lender’s desired price
and the foreclosure process will continue on the property. Unfortunately, short
sales are not always successful. Lenders are not obligated to agree to a short sale;
